The First Open Newbury Street This Summer

This past weekend we were proud to participate in the first Open Newbury Street event of this summer! Newbury Street closed down to all vehicles and was reimagined as a temporary pedestrian walkway, complete with beautiful summer weather. Two of our artist members, Candace Lovely and Jack Morefield, came by to demonstrate their art and skills to curious passersby.

Summer Flavor

Food, paint, and iconic imagery mix into one delicious work of art entitled Butter & Sugar, now on view in our Summer Hours show. Instead of cooking up a small, simple piece, Copley Artist Thomas Stocker created and served this artwork like an extravagant sheet cake: large, beautifully detailed, and a feast for the eyes.

Essence of Summer

A dazzling number of works are now on view in our Summer Members Show: Summer Hours. The selected pieces that hang in our upper gallery are sure to get anyone excited for the summer, since the displayed artwork captures the essence of the season. Juried by Hope Turner and Zola Solamente of Arden Gallery, the pieces on display range in mediums and styles, including photography, graphite, painting, and mixed media. And while the exhibition shows a large breadth of mediums and subjects, some of the same themes are portrayed.
