Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons: Upper Gallery Spotlight

María Magdalena Campos-Pons (b. 1959, Matanzas, Cuba) currently lives and works in Boston, MA. Her work belongs to numerous collections including the Museum of Modern Art (NY, NY), The Whitney Museum of American Art (NY, NY), and the National Museum of Fine Arts (Havana, Cuba). The Copley Society is honored to have three of her works on display as part of its current exhibition, La Cubana y el Cubano.

A pen and ink series by Olivia Ives Flores, playfully conveys current American politics with a snarky, tongue and cheek approach to the campaign season. Her renderings greatly exaggerate the gestures and quirks of political candidates. “Lines Don’t Lie’ is a refreshingly imaginative sequence with titles that do not disappoint.

The Fall Lineup

After a week-long closure for installations prior to Labor Day, Co|So is ready to jump in to our exciting slate of fall exhibitions and events. This Saturday, September 10th, is the opening reception of two new exhibitions: La Cubana y el Cubano in the Upper Gallery and Beyond the Shore in the Lower Gallery.
