Warm–Up at Co|So!

As the temperature drops and the days become shorter, the Copley Society of Art radiates warmth and light from the beautiful depictions of warm weather and nature that are hanging in the Holiday Small Works 2019 show! 4 Ways Co|So Celebrated 140 Years

 First: Copley Masters Show

            Did you know that the Copley Society of Art was formerly known as the Boston Art Students Association? Alice Spencer Tinkham and H. Winthrop Pierce (who was the first president) founded the Boston Art Students Association after they graduated from the Boston Museum School. Today we know the Boston Museum School as SMFA at Tufts, or the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University.

Awards of Merit in Holiday Small Works

The Copley Society of Art grants Awards of Merit to works of art that demonstrate exceptional presentation, technique, composition and style. There are a total of ten small works in the Holiday Small Works Show that have received awards of merit.
