Todd Montanaro grew up in Rhode Island and started drawing and painting at an early age. He is now an award-winning artist living and working in Boston, MA. Todd studied studio art at The Art Institute of Chicago, The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, and Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and through multiple workshops with nationally renowned contemporary artists. His work has encompassed many subjects, but has been focused recently on coastal landscapes and architecture.
Todd paints mostly on location. He also paints larger scale paintings in the studio, based on information gathered from studies done on location. Todd is a member of the Copley Society of Art, and The Oil Painters of America and The National Oil & Acrylic Painters’ Society. Todd is represented by Copley Society of Art, Boston, MA; Charles Fine Arts, Gloucester, MA; The Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport, CT; and Thanassi Art Gallery, Provincetown, MA.
