Richard Field, a Maine artist, is known for his Trompe L'oeil,still life and street scenes. He became a member of the Copley Society of Art in 1980, was awarded Copley Artist status in 1987.
Although he works mostly in acrylic, he occasionally uses oil or watercolor. His Trompe L'oeils often feature old toys or memorabilia.
His work has been included in the the Boston Museum of Fine Arts Summer Party 2012, Arc Gallery (San Francisco),Farnsworth Museum, Center for Maine Contemporary Art, and the Harvard Club Masters Invitational.
