The second half of the same broken board; unlike Open Note Test, this painting hides the pallet even if it’s similar to it’s sister painting. This piece was painted on location for the Leominster Memorial Skate Jam, on June 27th of this year. I love to go to skate parks and jams to paint the scene on a board, encapsulating the day in a familiar avenue to skateboarders. Depicting the skatepark along with the trees, haze of humidity sweeping across the park, while the pump track snakes around the frame and weaves in with the landscape.
