The Copley Society of Art is America’s oldest non profit arts organization. Throughout its rich history, the Copley Society has been sustained by individuals who believe in and support the importance or art in our communities.

Since 1879, the Copley Society has remained a self-sufficient, nonprofit arts organization. It may come as a surprise to you that the Copley Society, despite its longevity, has no endowment fund.  As a result, annual financial needs have been met through members’ dues, artwork sales, special fundraising events, and donations from our supporters. Due to the recent severe budget cuts in the arts, we have relied upon patrons to support the exhibition programs and the educational outreach programming needs at Co|So.   Please consider a tax deductible donation to the Copley Society of art. 

At the gallery, we are continually seeking ways to improve our services to artists and to the community. Co|So supports artist residency programs, artist workshop programs and workshops for Boston school children.
