Artist Talk/Demo @ 5:30-6:30
Description:
An hour long demonstration of how to approach ink and watercolor paintings. Including discussing what to look for in a reference photo, how to set up the paper, sketching, inking and painting. All questions are encouraged from attendees.

Highlights include:
– How to make an ‘effective’ piece of artwork.
– Reference photo selection and what to avoid.
– Sketching and basic composition.
– Color choice using the color wheel.
– Basic inking technique and details.
– Watercolor set up, brush and water use.

Hands-on Workshop @ 6:30-8:30
Eli will provide a reference for everyone to use and discuss how to set up all the supplies and do basic pencil sketching with a ruler. Inking will follow, including how to avoid smudging and spills. Choosing color combinations and the 60/30/10 rule application will be reviewed, and then start applying paints.
