Join us for the opening recepetion of Chris Firger’s Solo Show, Wandering the City, a celebration of Boston’s neighborhoods, communities, architecture, and natural beauty. After years of painting New England and Massachusetts, this exhibition is Firger’s first foray into capturing the city that he called home for nearly a decade. Throughout this body of work, he portrays Boston as he sees it: vibrant, captivating, and full of life.
Firger is a landscape painter born in Haverhill, Massachusetts in 1989. He studied at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and currently works out of his studio in Salem, Massachusetts. In Firger’s own words: “… My work invites the viewer to create their own narrative about a given place or moment in time, layering their own experiences on top of the image I’ve put in front of them. My ultimate goal as an artist is to inspire others to reconnect with, appreciate, and protect the natural world and the communities around them.”
We hope you’ll join us for the Opening Reception on Saturday, May 30, 4:00 – 6:00 PM
