Wheel thrown and altered functional vase with natural ash and applied glaze. This piece was fired for 6 days in a Japanese-style anagama kiln. The volatile atmosphere created in the kiln not only allowed for variation in color from green to blue but it also created crystals in the applied glaze. There is no way to predict this spectacular result!
