Farewell from Cobh

The wharf at Cobh, in Ireland, is the point where Irish emigrants left their homes and families, bound for America during the potato famine . I tried to imagine the feelings of a wife and her son waving goodbye to a loved one, not knowing if they would ever see him again.

This was also the last port of call of the Titanic.
