Mother and Daughter

A mother and daughter choose to share their love, in the Boston Public Garden at Springtime, when many pants begin to grow and flower. The time of year is a metaphor for the daughters new engagement of marriage. While composing, I discovered the negative space between the mother and daughter creates an abstract heart.

Many sketches from life helped me create this large painting in my Boston Fenway Studio.
