I created this piece to reflect my mental state during my sophomore year of college. I was having a hard time feeling motivated or even just being able to get out of bed. The piece depicts me slowly being absorbed into my surroundings. I created it two years after I had been in that state to turn a not so pleasant memory into something bright and beautiful. This piece is fully done in acrylic. I use this medium because I like being able to show the individual paint strokes as well as seamlessly blend when necessary.
