the scene depicts mama & daughter laying in a bed of glittery sequins on a stunning summer day. i transformed the works bold and visual brushstrokes with shiny and bright sequins, making the nature surrounding them come alive. my maximalist interpretation of the scene rebels against some of the norms of the movement, but shines bright in playful exploration and redefining the realness of Impressionism.
