The Blue Hour is a tonal, nocturnal watercolor of the Market Street Bridge that spans the western branch of the Susquehanna River in Lewisburg, PA. It welcomes the traveler coming and going with its signature 3-globe lights. I used a limited palette of dark blue pigments which were poured at several intervals over the entire surface, saving the glow of street lamps lining the bridge, reflecting warm gold and orange patterns in the icy water below.
