*Denotes Copley Artist who is a resident of Cape Cod Structures & Remnants is an exhibition that meditates on man-made structures and society in the natural world.
The collection of work is a juxtaposition of urban cityscape and rural scenes; where concrete and artificial structures overtake nature in cities, nature dominates the countryside and human intrusion is an auxiliary effect on the surroundings. The works consider the relationship between man and nature, encouraging the viewer to contemplate which is stronger, more prevalent, and enduring. Through a range of media, including oil, photography, and hybrid techniques, the works display how art weaves its way in to natural and constructed environments. The exhibition opens on Saturday, August 22nd, with a reception held on Thursday, August 27th at 5pm. The exhibition will be on display through October 15th.
