Light, color and texture inspire me to create with the natural pigments of oil paint.

Art is my vehicle for learning what’s inside of me. I am so attracted to painting that I will return to my easel after I have convinced myself that I am the worst artist in the world. As most artists, I am compulsive and like to work out problems. Art can be about problem solving that
is rewarded with a learning experience. This experience can be solitary and it takes discipline. You have to want to be an artist and have faith in the process that follows with dedicated pursuit.
When you have created something nice and are appreciated by others, it feels great. At that time, I feel like I have been through a lot and I can then take a breath and know it has been an “experience” and I am happy.
