Diane Nelson

After graduating from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston in 1960, with my academic studies at Tufts University, I enjoyed a long varied career as a graphic designer and illustrator, mainly for Boston area educational publishers and national trade show producers. This included early stints as an archaeological artist on an expedition in Nubia, Egypt in the early 60's and teaching Book Design and Visual Communication in the Boston Museum School's evening program in the early 70's. ... Retiring from commercial art in 2005, I now focus solely on creating personal fanciful landscapes, finding it a fun, challenging and mysterious process, never knowing where the evolving terrain will lead me ... A Taunton MA native and long-time resident of Bostons' Brighton neighborhood, I am a Lifetime Member of both the Cambridge Art Association and the Copley Society of Art in Boston.
