Diane Nelson

After graduating from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston in 1960, with my academic studies at Tufts University, I enjoyed a long varied career as a graphic designer and illustrator, mainly for Boston area educational publishers and national trade show producers . This included early stints as an archaeological artist on an expedition in Nubia, Egypt in the early 60's and teaching Book Design & Visual Communication in the Boston Museum School's evening program in the early 70's. ... Retiring from commercial art in 2005, I now focus solely on creating personal fanciful landscapes, finding it a fun, challenging and mysterious process, never knowing where the evolving terrain will lead me ... A Taunton MA native and long-time resident of Bostons' Brighton neighborhood, I am a Lifetime Member of both the Cambridge Art Association and the Copley Society of Art in Boston.
