Jason Brockert

Jason Brockert has worked as a professional artist and educator for over three decades. A native of Massachusetts, his youth was mostly spent exploring the vast woods around his house, accompanied by his dog. His rural town turned suburban in the short span of the 1980’s and witnessing that strange transformation has fueled his curiosity and his art. As a painter, he explores the ubiquitous aspects of our culture; things that are seen but unnoticed. His art is collected internationally, and he currently works as a senior critic in the RISD illustration department. He still lives in his hometown and explores much smaller woods, and with a different dog.
