Jeanne Rosier Smith, CM

Jeanne Rosier Smith has been painting full-time for the past twenty years, since she discovered pastels and found her true medium. She is currently represented by nine galleries and her work is in collections on six continents.   

An avid swimmer and beach lover, she is best known for her seascapes, and recognized for her landscapes in all seasons.  She is a Copley Society Master Artist, a Fellow at the St Botolph Club of Boston, a signature member of the American Society of Marine Artists and the Pastel Society of America, a designated Eminent Pastelist with the International Association of Pastel Societies, and the Pastel Society of America, and a member of the American Impressionist Society.   She has served as an educational consultant to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. She served as the Copley Society Cape Ann Museum Fellow in a 2019 residency.
 
Smith was recently featured with an article in Plein Air Magazine (May 2022) and with a solo show at the historic St Botolph Club in Boston.   She has won many top national awards, has both written for and been featured in numerous national art publications, and her work has been exhibited at the Massachusetts State House, the Guild of Boston Artists, the National Arts Club and museums around the United States.  Her work is in collections on six continents.
