Karen Marshall Shortsleeve

Karen has a BFA, an MFA and over 30 years of experience teaching Advanced Placement Art History and Studio Art.
She paints seascapes, landscapes, still life, and portraits. Her preferred media is oil paint, oil pastel, and a combination of watercolor with colored pencil. She strives to capture images that touch the viewer in a personal way. In her seascapes and landscapes, she tries to communicate the feeling of being in that space- to capture the elusive space between representation and the emotions felt from the experience or memory of a place.
