Kathy Coakley

Eastern Point, Gloucester, Massachusetts resident Katherine Coakley has had a lifelong affinity for art. About fifteen years ago she picked up a paintbrush for the first time experimenting with watercolors and acrylics. Later, she took up oil painting and now concentrates primarily on oil landscapes of scenic Cape Ann locales.
In the winter, Kathy continues her passion for warm weather landscapes, painting in Miami Beach, Florida where she has a studio in South Beach.
She has studied at the South Florida Art Center in Miami Beach. In New England Kathy has done oil painting and watercolor classes and workshops with numerous Cape Ann artists. One of Kathy’s greatest pleasures is painting the beauty of the world when traveling.
She is a member of the Copley Society of Art in Boston, MA, the National Association of Women Artists in New York, NY, SeArts, the Rocky Neck Art Colony, North Shore Arts Association in Gloucester, MA, and an assiciate member of the Rockport Art Association and Museum.
