Matie K

Boston-based artist Matie K (Matie Kestenberg) creates hard-edge geometric abstractions where architecture meets emotion. Her work is defined by bold colors, sharp lines, and unapologetic optimism, an invitation to find meaning within order and sometimes chaos.

With a background in software engineering, Matie K brings precision and structure to her art, then deliberately breaks those rules to let imagination take over. The discipline of coding shaped her sense of structure
life’s unpredictability taught her freedom. Together, they form the foundation of her visual
language.

Her paintings explore modern structures as metaphors for human experience, how we build, connect, and sometimes fall apart—always with a sense of balance and hope.

Matie K is a professional artist member of Co|So (Copley Society of Art) and the Newport Artists Collective, Matie paints full-time from her studio in Newton, Massachusetts. Her work appears in galleries across New England, Instagram and at matiek.com.
