Meg McLean

Meg McLean is known for her oil paintings of landscapes, which capture scenes from the Vermont hills near where she lives to Maine coasts and British skies. Many of her works are painted outdoors, whether from her kayak, along a hiking trail, or from her car on winter days. Back in her studio, she expands on these experiences, creating larger pieces that reflect the patterns and shapes and moods she finds in nature. She regularly exhibits in Northeast galleries.
In addition to being a painter, she is a published children's illustrator and writer and an instructor of painting and drawing.
She earned an MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
