Ricardo Roig
Ricardo Roig is a 41 year old full time professional Fine Artist & Printmaker living and working in NJ. Roig is the innovator of the Hand Cut Print, this unique medium has become his signature style. Roig’s innovative & original works on paper emit colorful energy built on masterful technique, layered in life and the shapes of nature.
The Roig ripple effect has reached across industries through his self-run Art Galleries in Hoboken & Westfield NJ. Roig’s works have found their way among many private collectors like James M. Nederlander, Michael Chang, and Leslie Getzfrid of Red Feather Advisory & Appraisal in Philadelphia PA. Roig’s work has also inspired many spaces across the globe thanks to his partnership with the W Hotels since 2017. Notable clients include W Hoboken, NYU Stern School of Business, RockRose Development NYC, Amazon, MGM, The Beekman Hotel, NYC, Hilton Hotels, City of Jersey City, City of Hoboken, SAKS Fifth Avenue, APM Terminals, Hoboken Historical Museum, World 50 Group, Christie's International Real Estate and Valley Hospital in Paramus NJ among the many others to date.
Roig was named Artist in Residence at Kean University 2023-2024 and recently endowed The Roig Family Art Scholarship at Kean University, where he discovered his technique in 2006. Roig has been given an award for Special Achievement in Human Rights 2024 by the Union County NJ Commissioners Office, and currently Roig is sponsored by Christie’s in their shared Art Gallery exclusively showing Roig’s works in Westfield NJ. Roig has also run a gallery in Hoboken NJ since 2015.
Ricardo & his wife Michelle have two children, 4 & 6 years old. Roig enjoys spending time with his family in and out of the studio, reading books, enjoying nature, puzzling, building with legos & taking on as much adventure together as possible.
