Before settling into painting full-time in New England after a stint in California, Roberto achieved considerable fame for his poster designs for both film and music industries. Shortly after his return to the East Coast, he embarked on an extensive tour through eastern and western Europe and Africa studying the art, architecture and customs of each culture. Always seeking new venues of artistic exploration and expression, he studied the art of painting and drawing with the finest mentors - in the classroom, in the studio, and in private "bottega"." Today his inspiration remains the Spanish Masters, especially Velasquez, and the Austrian Expressionists. Roberto not only captures an image, but magically transports us to that moment where we participate in the painting.
