Robin Colodzin
Robin Colodzin combines painting and collage to create complex, textured surfaces that straddle representation and abstraction. She builds environments of depth and atmosphere where chaos gives way to order through pattern, color and theme. Bits and pieces of collage material – a ticket, a snippet of a photo, metal widgets, create touch points for a possible narrative. Robin often draws on poetry to inspire her work, transforming written imagery and meaning into a visual experience.
Robin is a member of several established art organizations, including the National Association of Women Artists and the Copley Society. She maintains a studio in Gloucester and exhibits regularly both locally and nationally.
