Tanya Isaacson was born in Connecticut and moved to Boston, MA where she received her BFA, in Illustration from Massachusetts College of Art. Her career began as a freelance editorial Illustrator for various magazines and publications and within two years she began creating high end digital illustration for computer gaming and entertainment software companies. Tanya’s highly representational style of work, created an industry standard for digital gaming graphics and she created thousands of digital illustrations on assignments, gaining recognition in numerous gaming magazines and publications.
In 2016, after almost three decades working with corporate clients in digital media and design, Tanya shifted her focus toward her lifetime passion of painting. Since then, she has devoted herself to her fine art, with a preference for figurative and portrait work. “It is through the familiarity of the human form and face, and the frequent use of symbolism, that I work to convey emotions, messages and stories. It is through these means that I work to create human connection, between the viewer and the subject and the viewer and themselves.” It is this objective that has inspired multiple series in various stages of completion.
Since her decision to pursue her passion, she’s had the honor of exhibiting in various shows, including the “5th Annual Women Painting Women Exhibition” at the RJD Gallery in Bridgehampton, NY, as well as The Guild of Boston Artist’s “2016/2017 and 2018 Annual Regional Juried Exhibition/s”. In addition, she received the “American Artist Professional League Award” in the Salmagundi Club NY, 39th Open Annual Non-Members' Exhibition, juried by Max Ginsburg, for her piece, “She has a name, and it is ‘Defiance’”. In April 2017, she was featured in the international publication, “Art Market Magazine, Special Edition Gold List: Top 60 Emerging Artists of Today”.
Currently, Tanya resides in Massachusetts, just outside of Boston. She is actively engaged in multiple painting series and commissioned work. You can find more of her story and view a collection of her work at www.tanyaisaacsonfineart.com.
