In this series I am aiming for shallow visual depth and shape, in tension with surface marks and flat composition. I’m working with the image of a golden ring or flat disc, reflected, moving through space, casting shadows. The titles are extracts from Mary Oliver’s poem “The Sun”. The discs relate to the sun but also to gold, which connects to the final lines of her poem.
