I called this Custom Cake because it began as a painting demonstration on the stage in a museum’s auditorium. The museum is Customs House Museum in Clarksville, TN. I was invited to give a talk and painting demonstration. I customized the start of the painting to the comments and feedback I was getting from the audience. This was a wonderful experience, and it looks like I will be back in a few months to give a presentation on that same stage at the Women Artists of the West Exhibition opening.
Since I paint in layers, much of the work on this painting took place in my studio, where I could let layers dry before continuing.
