| f/22 is an aperture that creates a photo with all parts in focus which translates to the artist’s adopted mantra during COVID to appreciate everything around her. The two featured photos display their unintentionally similar composition where the male subject is obscured and the woman remains in focus on the right. Photo negatives fill the white space of the canvas to illustrate the emergence of the artist’s passion for photography despite not working with 35mm film before 2020. Through photography, the artist feels she has been able to situate herself more confidently in the world by documenting her experiences and has found joy in the unexpected themes that emerge as she works. |
