I have adhered sail cloth to the wood panel to create surface texture. I particularly liked working with the zig zag stitches of the scrap sail fabric. I let it dictate the design as I worked with the shapes and coastal theme of my recent work. The metallic copper colored paint added a new aspect as light travels across the surface.
