This painting is a continuation of a series where I explore shelter, figures and openings. I’ve long been interested in ocean working waterfronts and the people who work there. I have flattened perspective and form while creating space through color and scale of shapes. I enjoy working with heavily textured surfaces and in developing busy yet structured compositions.
