Part of being an artist, for me, is continuing to circle back to the basics. In this case, color and shape are my subject. In the background I faintly painted a beautiful butterfly. That’s the prize, isn’t it? We all want to fly away like the beautiful butterfly. But there’s a lot of work we have to do before that can happen.
