I have been intrigued with “bugs” ever since I captured (and released) a wasp at 5 years old. Seen through an imaginary bugs-eye view, “The Gathering” vibrates with the joyful energy of communal life. A symphony of buzzing insects takes center stage, their intricate forms celebrating our shared experience of existence. The woodcut media adds a layer of texture and rhythm, echoing the natural world’s lively chorus. This artwork invites viewers to contemplate the simple exuberance found in nature’s everyday wonders.
