Two Maps

I use drawings, prints, and paintings to explore, map, and connect with the more-than-human world. Two Maps is a copperplate etching that juxtaposes the image of a late-season curly dock leaf pitted by moth larvae, with that of the Middlesex Fells where I collected its leaves and seeds. Ink made from curly dock seeds highlights the features of both leaf and trail maps, making a visual connection between plant and place.
