Tall Ships Sailing in this Weekend

This weekend, Sail Boston arrives along the waterfront, with ships hailing from all over the world. Over the next week, participating ships will be docked at various wharves and piers throughout the city with events free and open to the public.

At Sea, Co|So’s National Maritime Show, includes 32 pieces inspired by the vessels that visitors to the Sail Boston festivities can see in person throughout Boston.

After seeing the Liberty Clipper at Long Wharf, imagine how David Prokoweiw’s sailboat from his painting “Headed for Home” would stack up to this steel-hulled schooner.

Over at Rowes Wharf, the Europa from The Netherlands may be flying its Dutch colors proudly, similarly to Geoffrey Chalmers’ “The Fighting Constitution”.

How could Latvia’s Spaniel fare in a race with the trio in “Three Tacking” by James Wolford?

Boston has a long maritime history, and as an official port of the Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta, it is bound to continue. As America’s oldest non-profit art association, Co|So is pleased to share in Boston’s history, and offer maritime enthusiasts artistic interpretations of the beautiful rigs in the Harbor.
