Melissa Post van der Burg
Melissa Post van der Burg is a self-taught painter, living and working in Maine. Her largely figurative work tends toward a narrative emphasis, often using family and friends as models. Melissa loves to paint the working waterfront, and often spends the month of May on one of the small islands off the coast of Maine with her husband (a frequent model) and dog, Lucy.
