The Copley Society of Art is proud to present Copley Artist Joe Reardon’s solo show, Cityscapes in Black and White, which will be on view from August 29th through September 28th in the Upper Gallery.
Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Joe’s passion for photography began while in his teens when his dad presented him with a 35mm camera that he had won at a local tavern poker game. From that moment, he saw his first images he knew that photography would be his voice in the world. Joe pursued formal photography training as a military photographer in the US Navy and graduating from the New England School of Photography. Joe’s work has afforded him the unique opportunity to travel the world and to capture the essence of nature everywhere he has visited.
Through his photography practice, Joe captures what he finds to be meaningful in the world around him. His goal is to evoke a sense of seeing and feeling something for the first time, again. His show at Co|So features a wide range of monochromatic architectural photography, presenting the viewer with a new and unique perspective of buildings that surround us.
