Resonance of the Ordinary

Current Exhibition

Upper Gallery August 13 - September 12, 2026

Co|So is proud to present Resonance of the Ordinary, a selection of realist still life paintings that celebrate how small moments and everyday objects resonate with our senses. A shaft of light, the scent of citrus, a glimpse of a forgotten toy can all trigger an emotion and become meditations on beauty and permanence. The show brings together three distinctive voices: Paul Beckingham, whose floral and narrative still lifes invite viewers to unravel stories through thoughtful color and lighting; Kristen Nyberg, who examines permanence, memory, and the shifting value of objects through luminous oil on rigid panels; and Deborah Schlossman, an ophthalmologist and painter who transforms ordinary objects into illusions of light and shadow with a limited palette and deliberate brushstrokes. Together, they demonstrate that realism is not mere replication, but a living dialogue between perception, memory, and the quiet poetry of the everyday.

Opening Reception: Thursday, August 13, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. RSVP Here
