Spring Members Show: Vernal Light
Current Exhibition
Upper Gallery April 3 - May 3, 2025The air is crisp and fresh; the buds of trees burst with blossoms and the rivers overflow with cold, clear water. The birds chitter with activity as light breaks through the horizon, showering the abundant land with a glowing warmth. The Earth welcomes the fertility of Spring, and the long Winter nights are over.
Artist members were invited to submit works inspired by “Vernal Light.” Think fresh and fertile, new growth and abundance, warmth and excitement.
The selection of work was juried by our Art Committee along with our guest juror. Awards have been granted by the guest juror, Ali Ringenburg.
Ali Ringenburg has a strong commitment to the tradition of representational work and the artistic profession. She founded Sloane Merrill Gallery in order to introduce fresh, representational artists to Boston and show their paintings in a unique, dynamic space on Charles Street in Beacon Hill. The gallery works to promote living artists who work exclusively in oils, were traditionally trained and possess a distinctive style/approach to their work. We are thrilled she has agreed to be our outside juror and present our awards for this exhibition.
